PANTHALASSEA Perini Navi | From EUR€ 200,000 /wk
SuperYacht PANTHALASSEA (ex Panthalassa) is a wonderful creation of the Norman Foster lead architecture firm Foster + Partners teamed up with the shipbuilder Perini Navi with Naval Architecture by Perini Navi and Ron Holland Design. The 56-metre-long Panthalassea luxury yacht was first revealed in the last months of 2009 at the Perini Navi Shipyard Viareggio, Italy. She is very well maintained, with the last refit in 2023.
Panthalassea gets her name from a 'superocean' (also known as the Panthalassic or Panthalassan Ocean, from Greek πᾶν "all" and θάλασσα "sea"), which was the pre-time 'superocean' that surrounded the 'supercontinent' called Pangaea.
The original design brief of S/Y Panthalassea called for a seamless relationship between the exterior and interior, which has been surpassed. Throughout the whole interior immaculate attention has been paid by the designers to penetration of light, lighting and the keeping of the spaces airy and light. Natural daylight filters through PANTHALASSEA's interior thanks to her large windows on the main deck, her unique skylights that channel light from the sundeck and oversized portholes on the lower deck. Her gracefully flowing oval staircase, wrapped in translucent acrylic, also brings in daylight as well as connects all the different levels.
The sailing yacht Panthalassea boasts an interior with clean lines and an uncluttered style offering contemporary living at its best. A tactile and warm ambience is created through the use of warm, natural organic tones and the combination of teak flooring with saddle leather wall panelling and granite surfaces. Special interior accents include 72 throw cushions, 12 cashmere throws, handmade silk floor rugs, Warhol artwork, and handmade wooden box games and game boards in the salon.
Perini Navi yacht Panthalassea features flexible and multi-functional spaces that offer a host of well-conceived opportunities for intimate gatherings or entertainment. The yacht's versatile arrangement includes a dining table that can become a coffee table; a library positioned with views over open water providing a feeling of relaxation and contemplation, a boardroom with video conferencing facilities that is also a perfect dining area and a sweeping sofa in the saloon that becomes a bar.
Electric glazed screens allow the entire main saloon, dining area and wheelhouse to be divided or unified into one large living or entertaining space. The exterior deck also features a variety of places to relax and an informal outdoor eating area, complemented by the more formal dining space inside.
Panthalassea's foredeck can be carpeted in a soft rattan where guests can relax on cushions, pouffes or sun loungers under the Bedouin tent. A selection of handmade Paola Lenti furniture was designed for the main deck and the flybridge and achieve her signature dynamic, geometric, yet informal vibe. The flybridge has a BBQ, bar, endless cushions, loungers and awnings for guests who wish to recline outdoors.

"I’d say I was a sailor before a designer. My designing was influenced by my experiences. It doesn’t have to be that way, but it was with me. Becoming a designer wasn’t a strategic decision." - Ron Holland, founder of Ron Holland Design
