Nutmeg St Francis 50
If you have any questions about the Nutmeg information page below please contact us.
Luxury Catamaran yacht Nutmeg is a beautiful St Francis 50 and was the largest model in the range of catamarans built be St Francis Marine in South Africa at the time of her launch. Named Cruising World’s Boat of the Year 2006, St Francis 50 is fast, sleek, spacious and comfortable.
Her comfortable interior is a little different than most of the other Catamarans in the Virgin Islands. Beautiful dark high gloss wood is offset by pastel blue leather upholstery which feels very decadent and luxurious when you are on board. Nutmeg can accommodate up to eight guests in four large comfortable cabins with ensuite bathrooms. The interior has been decorated by the hostess who has a background in interior design. The result is a beautifully decorated, uncluttered interior that will have the most discerning guest feeling right at home.
Nutmeg is a sophisticated yacht with all the modern conveniences of home and a seaworthy passage maker, capable of crossing oceans at an average of 200-plus nautical miles per day in Trade Wind conditions. Not only is she fast but her outdoor space is ample and comfortable giving everyone on board plenty of space to relax in solitude or get together for conversation and meals. The cockpit has comfortable seating for alfresco dining and the Foredeck has trampolines and lots of space to hang out and watch the world go by.

We have spent most of our time since our return home on Friday reflecting upon the unbelievable week we spent cruising the BVIs aboard S/Y Nutmeg. The beautiful bays, the turquoise water, the white sandy beaches, the coral, the fish, and the sunsets were all so magnificent. But, to have enjoyed this extraordinary natural beauty aboard Nutmeg was both a treat and a privilege. She is a beautiful and high quality yacht, solidly built, supremely comfortable above and below decks, and – perhaps most importantly – very well maintained. At the end of the day, however, a boat is just fiberglass, wood, plexiglass, engines, electronics, and other systems. It is the Captain and the First Mate who transformed our charter into a dream vacation. In short, Paul and Ginette make an outstanding team who anticipate each other’s moves and I was amazed at how they communicated without even needing to speak some of the time! They also have an unusual talent in that they quickly figured out what makes each member of our family “tick” and catered perfectly to everyone’s wishes. In addition to providing us with an extraordinary charter experience, it was also a pleasure to get to know both of them. This was a vacation that we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much for everything that you did for helping create such wonderful memories. With our warmest regards, R&RP, Chartered Catamaran NUTMEG, in BVI’s Mar
