Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has constructed the 36m/118.10ft all-aluminium support vessel 36M SHADOW SUPPORT VESSEL for 55m/180ft PROJECT PHI from Royal Huisman. Just a with the mothership, 36M SHADOW SUPPORT VESSEL has naval architecture by Van Oossanen, while Cor D. Rover was responsible for her exterior styling. She also has a displacement XL hull form, and delivery is scheduled for 2021.

EXTERIOR

The main deck is used for the storage of tenders and water toys, with the 15,500kg capacity crane providing safe and efficient launch and retrieval. The foredeck can be used for observation, and the main deck aft has a stairway down to a swim platform for easy access to tenders and water toys.

The interiors are designed to host fuel storage with a capacity of 57.400 litres/15,163 gallons on the tank deck, while the lower deck hosts the crew accommodation and other facilities such as laundry. The car is stored in the workshop on the main deck forward, with the helm station on the bridge deck above.

Twin Caterpillar C-32 engines provide a maximum speed of 21 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,200 nautical miles. The greater speed of the shadow vessel allows her to cruise on ahead and set up water toys and other equipment, and remain behind to re-store all equipment.
