Heesen Yachts completed the building motor yacht ALUMERCIA in 2001. Therefore, she has the distinction of being built in the Netherlands. ALUMERCIA had her design created by Vripack Naval Architects and Dick Boon and Frank Laupman and Omega Design and Vripack Naval Architects. This superyacht ALUMERCIA is able to accommodate overnight the sum total of 8 aboard as well as 8 professional crew. ALUMERCIA is a rare full displacement Aluminum Heesen Explorer yacht. She was designed by A Vripack/Omega as a modern world cruiser yacht. She has been from Alaska to Fiji and from Cape Horn to the Med before having her engine room rebuilt and complete paint job and upgrades finished in May 2008. Her Tenders and toys include a Land Cruiser Jeep stored inside for safe passage and she is Helicopter capable.

Vripack Naval Architects was the naval architecture company involved in the formal nautical design work for ALUMERCIA. Also the company Vripack Naval Architects and Dick Boon and Frank Laupman and Omega Design expertly worked on this venture. Interior designer Elise Boers/Frank Laupman/Omega Design was responsible for the creative internal styling. the Netherlands is the country that Heesen Yachts built their new build motor yacht in. After official launch in 2001 in Oss the boat was handed over to the proud new owner having completed sea trials and testing. A spacious feeling is achieved with a widest beam (width) of 8.35 m / 27.4 feet. With a 2.44m (8ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material aluminium was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created out of aluminium.
