A General Description of Sailing Yacht AMAZONE

This sailing yacht AMAZONE is a 42 metre 138 (ft) large steel boat which was built by Laan & Kooy and concieved by Laan & Kooy. A capacious twin masted schooner AMAZONE is a very high quality Dutch made yacht which was launched to praise in 1963. Sleeping 24 passengers and 2 qualified crew, sailing yacht AMAZONE used to be Meyert Menno. She could be described as a classic twin masted schooner. The balanced boat was designed with a naval architect called Laan & Kooy.

Build & Yacht Design of Luxury Yacht AMAZONE

Laan & Kooy was the naval architect firm involved in the formal vessel design work for AMAZONE. Laan & Kooy is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. the Netherlands is the country that Laan & Kooy completed their new build sailing yacht in. After her formal launch in 1963 in Den Oever she was passed over to the happy owner following sea trials. A moderate proportion is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 6.71 metres / 22 ft. With a 2.74m (9ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created from steelandwood. Over the deck of AMAZONE she is 35.05 (115 ft) in length. In 1997 further refit work and updating was in addition performed.
