Swiftships was the naval architect firm involved in the formal vessel design work for BALLYMENA. Swiftships and James S Krogen is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. the United States is the country that Swiftships constructed their new build motor yacht in. After her formal launch in 1977 in Morgan City La the boat was afterwards released to the owner after final finishing. Her hull was crafted from aluminium. The motor yacht superstructure is fabricated predominantly from aluminium. With a width of 6.71 metres / 22 ft BALLYMENA has reasonable room. A fairly shallow draught of 2.44m (8ft) limits the number of worldwide harbours she can enter into, contingent on their individual characteristics. She had refit maintenance and changes completed in 1995.
