Shipyard Work & Design with respect to Luxury Yacht CHIMERA
The yacht's wider design collaboration came from Ted Fontaine. The formal naval architecture drawings are the work of Ted Fontaine. Sailing Yacht CHIMERA received her stylish interior designing from the interior design skills of Alloy Yachts / Ted Fontaine / Owner. In 2002 she was actually launched with triumph in Auckland and following sea trials and finishing touches was then delivered to the new owner. Alloy Yachts completed their new build sailing yacht in New Zealand. A reasonable feeling is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 7.92 metres or 26 ft. With a 3.32m (10.9ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material aluminium was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created with the use of aluminium. In 2008 extra refit work and modernisation was in addition finished.
