Boasting an amazing past, LA SULTANA features an iconic transatlantic look and sleek lines. Fitted with the most advanced technology, she offers maximum comfort and outstanding performance.
Built for the Russian fleet, she is the fifth of a series of 12 ships that was intended for transporting freight and passengers. She carried 102 passengers in cabins and 46 crew members before the Soviet Union gradually removed its passenger ships from the Black Sea during the Cold War. Sent to the North Atlantic, she was used as a radio relay for the international Telecommunication union, and unofficially, believed to have eavesdropped for the benefit of her country. She was then transferred to a Bulgarian shipping company and resumed her initial activities.
After a seven year total reconversion led by Orion Naval Engineering, a French naval architecture company, LA SULTANA was relaunched in 2015 and is as majestic as she is luxurious. Her interior and exterior spaces were reconfigured, integrating the most modern and advanced technology, whilst preserving the authenticity and elegance of her past.
This glamourous gentlemain's yacht boasts a beautiful Art Deco style alongside oriental influences and a blend of Mahogany, Cherry and Cedar wooden panelled walls. The central lobby is massive and a grand staircase leads up to the main deck where a large dining saloon and substantial lounge further aft are found. LA SULTANA has an interior pool and beach club.
There is also lots of deck space such as the great upper deck that can accommodate up to 150 people. Plenty of seating areas and sunbathing spaces are available, as well as a spa pool on the foredeck.
The aluminium hull was rebuilt and re riveted, portholes were restored, the masts were returned to their original location and all decks were redone in iroko and ipe wood. The bow was raised to form a shielded upper space, complete with a sea water Jacuzzi, and a helicopter hoisting area.
A swimming platform with a hydraulic door were installed on the starboard side of the vessel, near the bow, giving direct access to the sea.
Her main engine was replaced, 4 generators were added, as well as an emergency one, and a streamlined massive keel weighing 90 tons was also fitted to improve stability.
