A Summary of Motor Yacht DAEDALUS

The motor yacht DAEDALUS is a 46 metre 151 (ft) generous composite luxury yacht which was developed by Delta Marine Industries and her design plans were devised by Delta Design Group and Ron Holland Design. A capacious converted private yacht DAEDALUS is a very distinctive United States made yacht which was launched to celebration in 1999. Sleeping 10 passengers and 7 crew, motor yacht DAEDALUS was registered as Affinity. She is a modern converted private yacht. The graceful motor yacht was created from a naval architect called Delta Design Group and Ron Holland Design. Ardeo Design undertook the designing of the interior.

This wonderful photograph was taken by Sue Frause in 2008 - The yacht "cruises into the dock at April Point Resort & Spa on Quadra Island in British Columbia. The yacht is owned by The Boeing Company and was built by Delta Marine Industries."

Shipyard Work & Design of Luxury Yacht DAEDALUS

Delta Design Group was the naval architect involved in the professional nautical plans for DAEDALUS. Her interior design was completed by Ardeo Design. Delta Design Group and Ron Holland Design is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. Built at Delta Marine Industries the yacht was completed in the United States. She was officially launched in Seattle Wa in 1999 before being transferred to the owner. A fairly large proportion is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 9.57 metres / 31.4 ft. With a 2.2m (7.25ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned with the use of composite.

Powered by two CATERPILLAR diesel main engines, DAEDALUS can reach a high speed of 16.5 knots. Her propulsion units are twin screw propellers. With respect to bow thruster maneuverability she was fitted with Abt. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she was supplied with Naiad.
