The New Build & Designing for Luxury Yacht EYE OF THE WIND
C Luhring was the naval architect firm involved in the technical vessel plans for EYE OF THE WIND. C Luhring is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. Germany is the country that C Luhring completed their new build sailing yacht in. After her formal launch in 1911 in Hammelwarden the boat was then delivered on to the proud new owner having completed sea trials. A reasonable area is achieved with a total beam (width) of 7 metres / 23 ft. With a 2.74m (9ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably shallow. The material iron was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned with the use of wood. Over the deck of EYE OF THE WIND she is 31.4 (103 ft) in length. In 1976 further refit work and modernisation was additionally finished.
