Amels was the naval architecture company involved in the technical superyacht plans for GU. Her interior design was realised by Andrew Winch. Amels and Andrew Winch is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. In 2006 she was actually launched with accolade in Makkum and following sea trials and final completion was afterwards delivered to the owner. Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. The main hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is made extensively from aluminium. With a beam of 9.75 metres / 32 ft GU has spacious internal space. A reasonably deep draught of 3.15m (10.33ft) limits the number of worldwide marinas she can visit, depending on their individual depth at low tide.
