This legendary yacht was once owned by Hitler's' government and operated as the headquarters for the German submarine fleet commander. In 1945, HELA was commandeered by the Soviet Union and also used as headquarters for their fleet commander in the Black Sea. The New Build & Naval Architecture of Luxury Yacht HELA

German Navy was the naval architecture company involved in the technical vessel plans for HELA. Also the company German Navy skillfully collaborated on this undertaking. In 1939 she was actually launched with accolade in Hamburg and post sea trials and finishing touches was afterwards passed on to the owner who commissioned her. Hc Stulcken & Sohn completed their new build motor yacht in Germany. The core hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht superstructure is fabricated predominantly from steel. With a width of 12.5 m / 41 ft HELA has open interior. She has a deep draught of 3.96m (13ft). She had refit maintenance and alteration work completed by 1989.
