The yacht's general design work came from Perini Navi and Ron Holland Design. The formal naval architecture drawings are the work of Perini Navi. Sailing Yacht HELIOS received her elegant interior designing from the interior design firm of Perini Navi. In 2007 she was actually launched with triumph in Viareggio and post sea trials and finishing touches was thereafter passed on to the owner. Perini Navi completed their new build sailing yacht in Italy. A fairly large feeling is brought about with a total beam (width) of 9.73 metres or 32 ft. With a 8.75m (28.7ft) draught (maximum depth) she is 8.75 (28.7 ft). The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is fashioned from aluminium.

HELIOS is engineered with a single efficient CATERPILLAR main engine(s) and can attain a swift top continuous speed of around 14 knots. The main engine of the yacht produces 1257 horse power (or 938 kilowatts). Her total HP is 1257 HP and her total Kilowatts are 938. Coupled to the HELIOS engines are a single screw propeller.
