INSIGNIA is ex project/yacht name Hanse. This 56 m (183 ft) luxury yacht was constructed by Elsflether Werft & Kg in 1979. Motor Yacht INSIGNIA is a sizeable superyacht. Build & Naval Architecture for Luxury Yacht INSIGNIA

Elsflether Werft was the naval architect involved in the professional nautical design work for INSIGNIA. Also the company Elsflether Werft and Luiz De Basto Designs and Alpha Marine skillfully collaborated on this project. Interior designer Luiz De Basto Designs was employed for the overall internal styling. Germany is the country that Elsflether Werft & Kg constructed their new build motor yacht in. After her official launch in 1979 in Elsfleth the boat was then released to the happy owner following sea trials and testing. Her hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht superstructure is made mostly from aluminium. With a beam of 8.8 metres / 28.9 feet INSIGNIA has spacious interior. She has a reasonably deep draught of 3m (9.8ft). She had refit improvement and modification carried out by 2007.

The 12V 652 engine installed in the motor yacht is built by MTU. Her propulsion units are twin screw propellers. The main engine of the ship gives 1600 horse power (or 1177 kilowatts).
