Measuring 73.6m (241’6’’), SHERPA is a completely custom-made explorer-style superyacht built by the renowned Dutch yacht builder Feadship. She was launched in 2018 in Kaag. Sherpa’s naval architecture was created by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, while her exterior and interior design are by the respected UK-design studio RWD. With a beam of 13.20m (43’4’’) and a draft of 3.40m (11’1’’), she is able to accommodate up to 13 guests and a crew of 25 on board.

NOTABLE FEATURES OF SHERPA: ~ distinctive industrial look ~ explorer/expedition style ~ fantastic amount of equipment onboard ~ helicopter deck ~all accommodation on main deck ~ two massive boom cranes ~huge beach club + large swim platform ~ multipurpose garage ~ spacious socialising and entertainment areas

SHERPA was created for an experienced and repeat Feadship client, which implies even greater attention to detail, functionality and use of space. One of the most characteristic features of the vessel is her unfaired hull finish, leaving the plate work and welding visible. This design feature goes hand-in-hand with her expedition yacht style and industrial look, while luxurious high-end materials were used to ensure superyacht standard of quality throughout. Teak, polished stainless steel and dressed aluminium and steel elements were used in order to achieve luxurious appearance and durability in time under any condition.

Plenty of equipment, transportation and logistics options were created on board, also incorporating two massive boom cranes that extend to 12m and 20m respectively, and are able to host equipment from port and starboard, on and off the helicopter deck, and to and from the platforms of the multipurpose garage below.

A massive hull door to starboard folds down and converts the area into a fabulous beach club with a flush floor, while the cargo bay to port rotates upward. The stern bulwark also rotates and becomes a swimming platform to the beach club.

"Whether it’s wiring or plumbing, pipe fitting or painting, finishing or wiring, Feadship has the finest compilation of artists that I could find on my journey of discovery among the superyachts that exist today. It is all the small things that they do, the time they take to do what they do, and the extra effort that they take to make every corner, nook and cranny look great. - Review by the Owner who commissioned yacht ROCK.IT" (hull 687).
