The 62m/204ft LUXURY SUPERYACHT from Amels is a steel-hulled displacement yacht built in 2002. Her naval architecture was designed by the shipyard in collaboration with Donald Starkey Designs while her exterior and interior styling comes from Donald Starkey. The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests over nine beautifully appointed en-suite cabins.

EXTERIOR

Guests arriving by tender will disembark on the swim platform and ascend the stairs to the main deck aft. In this area, there is a row of plush seating along the stern and under the shade of the upper deck overhang, there is an alfresco dining table to seat eight.

The upper deck aft has a similar setup to the main deck aft, but on a larger scale: The alfresco dining table has room for 12 guests while there are two long sofas integrated into the stern, separated by a side table for drinks.

The foredeck hosts a comfortable sofa in front of the helm station and farther forward a semi-oval sun pad with an integrated drinks table provides a place for guests to rest in the sunshine with uninterrupted forward views.

The sundeck is ready for entertaining day or night and offers C-shaped seating along the stern that encompasses a circular table at each end. The sun loungers in the central space can be moved to offer more room for guests to mingle and the central area contains an eye-catching wet bar. The forward section can be shaded by a canvas and is fitted with two broad sun pads and a raised Jacuzzi for uninterrupted views while guests rejuvenate.

INTERIOR

The interior decor uses pale fabrics in cream to contrast against the rich wooden panelling and wooden furnishings, which have a modern Asian aesthetic.

The lower deck aft contains a spacious beach club, either side of which is tender storage with side-opening hatches for launch and retrieval. Forward is the engine room and amidships is the guest accommodation, consisting of four en-suite twin cabins, plus an additional cabin for staff. The bow section contains the crew accommodation and amenities for 20.

On the main deck, the forward section is dedicated to the full-beam Master suite, within which there is plenty of room for a lounge. The massive en-suite bathroom contains a spacious shower and tub, and on either side, there are walk-in wardrobes.

Directly behind the Master suite is one double cabin and the Master suite office that can be converted into a second double cabin. The foyer is located in the centre of the deck and the port side contains the galley and pantry while the starboard section has a washroom for all guests and visitors.

The main salon is situated to the aft with the grand formal dining table forward. The area can be separated off from the main salon by sliding doors for a more intimate meal between 12 guests. The main salon is filled with seating around all four sides, leaving the central space clear of everything but a coffee table so that guests can circulate with ease at gatherings.

The upper deck contains the helm station, where guests can watch all the action from the raised leather sofa on the starboard side. Behind the Captain's cabin and the office is the lobby and the VIP staterooms are located on the port and starboard sides, enjoying plenty of natural light and elevated views, plus a large en-suite bathroom with private tub.

The sky lounge to the aft offers a laid-back ambient environment perfect for an evening of conversation and games: There are a soft sofa and two armchairs placed beside the port and starboard windows where guests can settle with a drink from the forward bar. A widescreen TV will keep guests caught up with the latest news and sports, while beside the aft sliding doors there is a circular games table and seats for up to five guests.

The 60-metre Amels yacht is powered by two CAT 3516B DI-TA H.D. 1,866kW engines, reaching a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She has a range of 6,000 nautical miles with a fuel consumption of 360 litres per hour.

A maximum of 12 guests can be accommodated over 9 Asian-themed en-suite cabins, which consist of 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, 2 double cabins and 4 twin cabins, all with en-suite facilities. The crew accommodation sleeps 20.
