Luxury yacht GALENE was built by Amels in 2020 and is constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She measures 55m/180.5ft with naval architecture from the shipyard and interior styling by Laura Sessa. EXTERIOR

The lower deck swim platform connects to the beach club to offer a comfortable indoor/outdoor sunbathing and lounging area close to the water. Two stairways connect to the main deck aft, where a sofa is placed along the stern with another sofa facing aft and two armchairs placed around a coffee table for a casual sheltered space for morning coffee and conversation. The side walkways lead to terraces adjacent to the formal dining area, and a concealed port stairway leads to the upper deck aft. Here, the sundeck overhang shades the grand alfresco dining area to seat all 12 guests, and two L-shaped sofas with a coffee table and a spare armchair to port follow the shape of the stern.

Another port stairway leads to the sundeck, where there is room for jet skis to be stored in the aft corners and a large oval sunbed is placed between them. Two sun-drenched sofas and a coffee table face aft, and beneath the hardtop amidships there is a wet bar with four stools. Forward, the generous sun-drenched Jacuzzi is joined by a fan-shaped sunpad and sun loungers on the raised section for uninterrupted views of the destination.

INTERIOR

The lower deck places the crew accommodation, mess and laundry services forward with the engine room amidships and the guest accommodation aft. The stern section provides a beach club that has its own day head.

On the main deck, storage for the tenders and water toys is placed in the bow and is covered by hatches while cruising. The Master suite is placed forward followed by the galley and main foyer, which have their own doorways connecting to the formal dining area aft. Glass sliding doors to port and starboard open the interior for a more alfresco experience, and the main salon within the same open plan space provides a sofa, three armchairs and a coffee table beneath the port windows, with a widescreen TV on the cabinetry to starboard. A staircase aft to port leads down into the guest accommodation, and large glass sliding doors lead out onto the main deck aft.

The main foyer staircase leads to the upper deck, where the helm station is forward, the Captain's cabin immediately behind and the skylounge aft. The skylounge boasts a piano in the aft starboard corner for live entertainment while the group enjoys drink and conversation on the sofa and armchairs around the forward coffee table, and there is a widescreen TV on the wall. A drinks/games table aft to port has plenty of light from the surrounding full-height glass windows.

Twin MTU 2000 series M70 engines produce a top speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 13.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 12 guests over 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms and 2 twin cabins both with a Pullman berth. ~ The Master suite is situated on the main deck forward and is furnished with a king-sized bed to port with a 55" widescreen TV opposite, and beside the starboard glass sliding door to the fold-down swim platform there is a sofa forward and a desk behind. There are two en-suite bathrooms immediately following the bedroom, and the port side contains a sink, toilet and bathtub while the starboard side has a sink, toilet and shower. ~ ~ ~ There is also a walk-in-wardrobe beside both bathrooms, and they both have a vanity. ~ The VIP staterooms are located on the lower deck aft of amidships, and a placed to port and starboard of each other. Both have a queen-sized bed with side tables and a 49" widescreen TV on the wall opposite, a large wardrobe and a forward en-suite bathroom fitted with a sink, toilet, bidet and a shower. ~ The twin cabins are aft to port and starboard of the VIP staterooms and both have two single beds and a ~ Pullman berth, storage space and a 49" widescreen TV on the wall opposite. The en-suite bathrooms have a sink, toilet and a shower. ~ The crew of 11 will ensure that everyone on board receives the first-class service throughout their stay.
