The yacht's general design work came from Picchiotti. The professional naval architect drawings are a creation of Picchiotti. After the formal launch in 1988 in Viareggio she was passed over to the proud new owner after final finishing. The hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is fabricated extensively from aluminium. With a beam of 7.65 m / 25.1 ft MARO has reasonable internal space. A reasonably shallow draught of 2.5m (8.2ft) selects the list of worldwide marinas she can enter into, taking into account their particular characteristics. She had refit improvement and changes undertaken by 2007.
