Motor yacht FLYING EAGLE is a large high quality modern yacht ideal for superb yacht charters in the western Mediterranean. The well regarded BLOEMSMA VAN BREEMEN Yacht Builder delivered the 48 m superyacht Flying Eagle in 2005 at their shipyard in Makkum, The Netherlands.
Her observation bench seating is forward port and starboard and serviced by triangular teak tables on either side. FLYING EAGLE’s large sun lounges with occasional tables are next aft with further sunning on the large sun pad just forward of the very large Spa Pool on starboard. The Spa Pool is located, from just beneath, to behind the arch on the starboard side. A wet bar is on port.
A day head is incorporated into the center structure of the arch. C-shaped seating w/ teak table is aft of the arch on starboard. The Spa Pool and the seating can be protected from the sun via an awning which is electrically extended from its concealed position within the trailing edge of the arch. Half turn stairs on stbd lead to the bridge deck.
Yacht FLYING EAGLE’s bridge Deck Going From Aft-Forward: The large aft deck has fixed seating full-width aft, with upholstered cushions, faced by a rectangular centered table. A circular custom built dining table is forward with chairs. The aft deck is serviced from the unique centered circular bar of the sky lounge. Doorways, either side of the bar, enter the sky lounge which is full beam of the yacht. There are 4- fixed stools at the front of the bar. A game table is located aft on port. An extremely comfortable seating area consists of facing leather sofas, two roomy upholstered chairs with matching Ottomans and two high-backed chairs - all surrounding a large coffee table. Access to the gymnasium is through double doors on the port side.
Access to the foyer is via double doors to starboard. There is a day head off the landing for the spiral stair. Going forward, the captain's cabin is on port and then one enters the bridge area. The bridge area is unusually spacious and is fitted out to the same standards as the balance of the owner's area, including a domed ceiling and a 9' in length, raised, upholstered sofa, faced by a custom table, for viewing the operation of the yacht. There are also 2 custom leather Stidd command chairs and a large navigation desk.
FLYING EAGLE’s Main Deck: Down the spiral stair to the main deck. Just off the marble foyer, going forward is the roomy, main deck, day head.
Continuing forward is the owner's suite entered through the owner's office which is furnished with a large desk faced by a sofa. The owner's stateroom is the full width of the yacht. The king sized bed is centered with the upholstered (mirrored above) headboard against the aft bulkhead. The bed can be adjusted electrically on either side for comfortable reading or viewing the facing television (when it is revealed). Cabinetry is on either side adjacent to the bed with custom lamps. Further cabinetry is on either side of the stateroom. An intimate dining table is located to port. The full width bathroom is forward and entered via the starboard side. The large bath tub is centered forward. A spacious shower room is on port and the toilet room is on starboard -- with both having skylights overhead. The double basin vanity is on the aft wall. There is a lady's dressing table on port serviced by a beautiful Lalique mirror. More Lalique is seen in decorative panels either side of the tub and in the vanity hardware. Very large his and hers walk-in wardrobes are on port and starboard.
Aft from the foyer is the full width dining. A custom, circular table for ten, featuring a lazy Susan, is centered below the domed ceiling. Buffets are outboard on port and starboard. Additional storage is in the "island" aft. An amazing piece of art on the forward bulkhead is a large (approximately 4' x 7') "slice" of sandstone from Wyoming which displays fossilized fish and is contained in a bronze surround.
The "island", aft of the dining area, which features a custom William Morris glass sculpture, contains concealed panels in the columns which can be utilized to close the dining room from the main salon when the crew is servicing the table.
The main salon has two large sofas and two large upholstered chairs, complimented by two high-backed chairs, all arranged around the coffee table. Sideboards are outboard port and starboard.
Outside to the aft deck, there is built-in seating with upholstered cushions centered aft between the stairs to the swim platform. This seating is fronted by a large table with additional chairs. The aft deck has a wet bar for service.
FLYING EAGLE’s Accommodations Deck: From the foyer, down the stairway to the accommodation deck are the guest staterooms. These open from the central foyer. All four staterooms are extremely large with extensive storage in cabinets and closets and each with vanities for the ladies. All feature spacious en suite marble-appointed baths. Three staterooms have queen sized beds and one has twin beds. All staterooms have full entertainment systems and hidden refrigerators to keep the champagne chilled for later.
