Luxury yacht LA VIE (a.k.a.NB101) from Turkish shipyard Mengi-Yay is the first of the Virtus 47 model and was launched in 2022. She is constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and measures 48m/157.5ft. The naval architecture is the work of Ginton Naval Architects and exterior styling by VYD Studio, while Leonardo Santini Design was responsible for the interiors. The accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests in five en-suite cabins, with an enthusiastic crew of seven to see to all the details.

EXTERIOR

Guests arriving by tender will disembark onto the lower deck swim platform, where there is enough room for sun loungers or other seating to enjoy life beside the water. There is direct access into the beach club, where there is a casual lounging and dining setting, and a starboard terrace provides views of the anchorage.

Two stairways lead up to the main deck aft, where there is an alfresco dining table and movable chairs under the shade of the upper deck overhang, and sofa seating and a coffee table along the stern.

The upper deck provides a casual space for drinks and casual meals in an intimate environment, followed by a rest on the sofa/sunbed to starboard or the sofa along the stern. The foredeck has a C-shaped sofa and broad, deep sunbed where guests have uninterrupted views of the anchorage.

The sundeck has an alfresco dining setting and bar under the shade of the overhang, a projector screen and seating and drinks tables to relax in the sunshine or watch a film under the stars.

INTERIOR

The beautiful modern interiors from Leonardo Santini Design use golden yellow accents and dark chocolate contrasts against warm cream colours in the surrounding wooden panelling and flooring. Warm lighting further enhances the tranquillity after sundown for an environment that feels like a sanctuary on the water.

The lower deck layout hosts the crew accommodation and the guest accommodation, the engine room, storage for the water toys and a beach club in the stern.

The Master suite is forward on the main deck, followed by the galley and main foyer, then the main salon combined with the formal dining area. The dining setting makes use of light and shadow to create an ambient environment after dark, and glass sliding doors on both sides open out onto side terraces for a greater connection to the anchorage. The lounge is a symmetrical setting with a sofa, armchair and coffee table on both sides, and a widescreen TV for entertainment.

On the upper deck the helm station is forward, followed by the Captain's cabin and foyer, then the skylounge.

A pair of Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines of 1,450 BHP grant a top speed of 14.5 knots.

Yacht Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite and 5 further guest cabins. The main deck Master suite is positioned forward and is filled with natural light due to large windows and the fold-down terrace, where guests can begin and end the day in privacy while taking in the scenery. There is a widescreen TV opposite the king-sized bed, a seating area, ample wardrobe space and an en-suite bathroom. The remaining guest cabins are all placed on the lower deck. Throughout the cruise, the professional crew of 7 will provide first-class service.
