Motor yacht MAXIMA STAR (ex DREAM ON) is a 38.10m (125’) luxury yacht built by Ursa Shipyard in Turkey with Naval architecture by Soyaslan Design and interior design by Bannenberg Design. M/Y MAXIMA STAR was delivered in Spring 2008 in Tuzla, Istanbul.
The displacement motor yacht MAXIMA STAR is an elegant and refined superyacht. Her Main Salon features a stylish and comfortable seating area aft with pieces by Kingcome, striking red Africa chairs by Promemoria and handed chairs by Todd Hase, upholstered in Designers Guild charcoal and gunmetal fabric. A versatile TV cabinet divides the salon area from the dining area which features a custom-designed circular table that is illuminated by a William Yeoward chandelier made from pulled shards of opaque glass. Forward on the Main deck is where the luxurious Master Cabin is located accessed via a passageway.
Luxury motor yacht MAXIMA STAR’s Skylounge boasts comfortable seating arranged for viewing the large flat-screen TV concealed behind secret panelling forward. The skylounge also features a pair of custom-designed Bannenberg coffee tables to port and starboard. Also on this upper deck is an oak-panelled Owner’s office and an exercise room.
The interior of superyacht MAXIMA STAR designed by Bannenberg is glamour and rich, taking advantage of the large volume provided by the Soyaslan-designed hull and superstructure. Working closely with the Owners, rosewood, oak and shagreen were chosen to feature extensively throughout the accommodation areas on joinery executed with great precision and quality by Ulutas.

'...total originality in yacht design has become more difficult to attain following Jon Bannenberg’s masterful levels of creative daring.' - “I don’t want to lead everything back to my dad — but it’s well known and accepted that, whether it’s his big round windows, or certain lines, or a way of treating wings on a superstructure, they all inspired many people and I think that’s fair game. I think all people’s design processes, whether subliminal or not, are recalling something — whether it’s something that’s stirred, or triggered something, or sparked an idea, or an unintentional homage to someone.” - Dickie Bannenberg talks of yacht design and his father Jon Bannenberg's groundbreaking work.
