The Build & Designing for Luxury Yacht POLARIS
Lurssen was the naval architect involved in the formal nautical design work for POLARIS. Lurssen and Swedish Navy is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. Germany is the country that Lurssen Yachts built their new build sailing yacht in. After her formal launch in 1954 in Bremen she was handed over to the owner having completed sea trials and testing. The main hull was constructed with steel. The sailing yacht main superstructure is fabricated predominantly from aluminium. With a beam of 5.7 metres or 18.7 feet POLARIS has moderate size.
