Lurssen was the naval architecture company involved in the professional nautical plans for QUEEN K. Also the company Lurssen and Espen Oeino successfully worked on this venture. Interior designer Donald Starkey Designs was commissioned for the internal interior styling. Built at Lurssen Yachts the yacht was completed within Germany. She was officially launched in Bremen in 2004 before being transferred to the owner. The core hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht superstructure is made mostly using aluminium.
