Picchiotti (Perini Navi Group) completed the building motor yacht ROYAL EAGLE in 1990. Therefore, she has the distinction of being built within Italy. ROYAL EAGLE is a yacht which had design finished by Picchiotti and Picchiotti. Picchiotti was the naval architect firm involved in the professional vessel composition for ROYAL EAGLE. Also the company Picchiotti successfully worked on this project. Interior designer Howard Dillday was charged with the overall internal ambience. Italy is the country that Picchiotti (Perini Navi Group) completed their new build motor yacht in. After the official launch in 1990 in Viareggio the boat was then released to the happy owner having completed final finishing. A fairly large feeling is manifested with a total beam (width) of 8.47 m or 27.8 feet. With a 2.53m (8.3ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is built from aluminium. In 2008 extra refit work and modernisation was in addition finished.

The TBD 06 604BL engine installed in the motor yacht is made by DEUTZ-MWM. Connected to her Deutz-Mwm engine(s) are twin screw propellers. The main engine of the ship creates 950 horse power (or 699 kilowatts). She is fitted with 2 engines. The total output for the yacht is therefore 1900 HP / 1398 KW. As for stabalisers she uses Vosper. The bow thrusters are Schottel.
