Ted Hood was the naval architect firm involved in the formal vessel design work for SAVANNAH G. Her interior design was conceived by David Linley/Adrian Kahan/Gavin Van Vugt. Ted Hood and Ted Fontaine is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. In 1998 she was formally launched to triumph in Auckland and post sea trials and detailing was then delivered to the new owner. Alloy Yachts completed their new build sailing yacht in New Zealand. Her main hull was constructed with aluminium. The sailing yacht superstructure is fabricated for the most part from aluminium. With a beam of 7.92 m or 26 ft SAVANNAH G has moderate interior. She has a reasonably deep draught of 3.29m (10.8ft). She had refit maintenance and modification undertaken in 2006.
