Luxury sailing yacht SHANGANI is a Blue Lagoon Ocean 67 catamaran designed by Colin Ayres and built by Blue Lagoon Shipyards, Perth, Australia in 2007. The yacht measures 70 ft (21,33 m) and can accommodate up to 16 guests in pure luxury.

Sailing catamaran SHANGANI has an exceptionally large saloon, positioned on the mid-deck, with has panoramic views all around, comfortable sofas, and a large dining table. French windows lead from the saloon to the shaded Quarter-deck, which has two tables and an outdoor seating area. The Barbecue Deck is one step down from the Quater-deck, and leads down to the pontoon and stern swimming platform. SHANGANI’s Upper Deck, provides wonderful views, a cool breeze and features the large spa pool spa and the African bar. The large fore-deck is perfect for a sunset drink, or for relaxing in the sun or shade. There is a shade cover for the whole fore-deck which can used when necessary.

Up to sixteen guests can be accommodated in great comfort and luxury, and as there is so much space, with so many different areas to relax in, there is plenty of privacy for everyone. Being a catamaran, charter yacht SHANGANI is family friendly. She is stable and very spacious, ideal for those who have no boating experience. Children and adults alike will enjoy the spapool-pool, swimming from the platform, the two kayaks (life-jackets provided), the dinghy, fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving. And in the evenings, there is a large selection of movies and music for you to enjoy.

From five star western cuisine, catering to all nationalities, to wonderful thai curries, barbecued meats and freshly caught fish, with tropical fruit and salads - there is mouth watering cuisine for everyone onboard regardless of their preference.

One of the unique features on catamaran SHANGANI is the large spa pool on the pool deck, which is a great place to relax and keep cool. Another S/Y SHANGANI speciality is thier on-board masseuse. This will give you the opportunity to indulge in a relaxing thai massage at any time. A real luxury.

Charter yacht SHANGANI’s hull was built in Australia, but was fitted out by Thai craftsmen in Phuket. Shangani was finally finished in December 2008. The name Shangani is taken from a famous river in Zimbabwe. The names of the cabins also reflect Shangani’s African roots, and many of the fixtures and fittings are from Zimbabwe. The bar on the Pool Deck, for instance, is made from 100 year old Rhodesian railway sleepers, and before being shipped over from Zimbabwe.

Moo, Shangani’s Captain, who has been with the yachts owner over fifteen years, had a large part in the design and building of Shangani and knows the best spots in Thailand.

Catamaran Shangani is a very spacious and a luxurious crewed catamaran - ideal for large family groups or friends. Sailing in the Phuket area is wonderful, and includes the spectacular scenery of Phang Nga Bay, and the tropical paradise of the Similan Islands.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

Luxury sailing catamaran SHANGANI can accommodate up to 16 guests in 6 cabins, including 4 doubles cabins and 2 with double beds plus bunk beds for family groups. All cabins are air-conditioned, and have TV/DVD, Music and a Safe. The Bushman and Msasa Suites are the two aft master-suites which have double beds, rain showers, separate toilets and wash-basins with hairdryer. These suites have entrances within the yacht as well as outdoor access to a pontoon. The Flamingo and Zebra Suites are two centre cabin suites have large double beds, which are convertible to singles with advance notice. They also have rain showers, toilets, and two wash basins with hair dryer. The Jungle Room and Singing Monkey suite are two fore cabin suites are ideal as family rooms, as each have large double beds, which are convertible to singles with advance notice. There are two bunk beds in each cabin, the lower being possible for an adult, and the upper bunk for a child. There are safety bars and ladder. They have showers and wash-basins, and the toilet across the saloon. All the soaps and shampoos provided on Shangani are from the famous Lemongrass House, well known for its range of high quality, natural hand-made spa products, supplied to exclusive hotels and yachts all over the world. The bed-linen and towels on board are of exceptional quality, as supplied to the five star luxury resorts in Phuket. The Crew have their own quarters and bathroom facilities.
