Pershing Yachts is an Italian yacht company that was founded 1981 through the collaboration of three individuals who combined their experience, knowledge, and passion and initiative in pursuit of revolutionary ideas in the world of luxury motor yachts. The first boat was launched in 1981, however the Pershing idea came into existence in 1985, when the Pershing 45’ was produced which was the brand’s first international success with an unprecedented combinations of speed, elegance and comfort. During the 90s, Pershing had expanded sales to the world market and exports reached as high as 70% of total production. In 1998 the Pershing Spa joined the Ferretti Group, a world leader in the luxury yacht sector.
By 2001, Pershing celebrated 20 years of continuous growth and continued to increase their production range winning many awards worldwide in the process. By 2003 the project that would be called the Pershing 115 began which brought Pershing into the superyacht building market. In 2005, Itama, a historical and prestigious brand of Italian yachts was taken over by the Ferretti group and Pershing yachts guided Itama’s re launch and furthered the development and visibility of the brand.
Since Pershing Yacht’s inception, the company has designed 25+ models, many of which have alternative versions to meet the needs of different customers and cultures. Today there are numerous models in the company’s fleet, including the Pershing 46’, the Pershing 50’, the Pershing 56’, the Pershing 64’, the Pershing 72’, the Pershing 82’, the Pershing 90’, Pershing 108 and the Pershing 115’ superyacht. The company has also won numerous major international awards.
Pershing’s Mondolfo yard is a futuristic area of 54,600 square metres. The yard and its facilities have been meticulously designed to meet the continuing production developments and the expansion of the range, in terms of both number and boat size. At the yard there is a building housing Pershing’s management, administration and design offices and two further buildings dedicated to production. The first, measuring 6500 m², is where the 46’ to 115’ yachts are fitted out, and the second, measuring 6800 m², is where the superstructures are built. All the plants and machinery installed use environmentally friendly construction techniques, such as the computerized fibreglass cutting system and the vacuum hull moulding process. A separate paint shed, measuring 500m² also guarantees top quality standards, as well as being time efficient and considerably reducing emissions into the air.
Pershing Yachts selects and develops the most advanced technology in superyachts. Not surprisingly, Pershing was the first to introduce Scrimp System technology (vacuum moulding), the Pershing-patented chain airbag, a computerized fibreglass cutting process and “boatotics”, an approach that adapts the principles of domestics to the yachting sector by seeing boats as “floating houses” and equipping them with latest generation technology, such as satellite TV, complete audio-video entertainment systems and fast Internet connections, to make life at sea even more luxurious.
Just as Pershing is committed to building only superior class luxury yachts, a fundamental element of its identity and history has always been the promotion of innovation in the yachting sector. The company has an eye for original design ideas, constantly researches new solutions, and is always open to distinctive and creative points of view.
“We build exclusive, high-performance yachts that turn our passion into emotions.”
Pershing superyachts also constantly improves the sporting trim of its boats, equipping them with a winning combination of advanced drive systems and streamlined design. Here too, Pershing was the first to introduce drive systems fitted with Arneson Drive surface propellers to guarantee top performance and gas turbines to offer maximum power when at sea. Pershing also considers Design and Comfort the perfect complement to the advanced technology and high performance character of its superyacht craft.
In addition to a constantly expanding international network that today boasts 35 dealers in 58 countries spread over all continents, the Pershing brand also offers a comprehensive service network with 130 Service Points, coordinated by the area dealers. Pershing has also established the Service University, an annual training event that provides operators with all the latest know-how, updates and in-depth info regarding the Pershing brand’s superyacht range. Combined with Convergence, the annual meeting organized by the Ferretti Group for yacht captains, and the guarantee of a 24/7, all year round Customer Care phoneline, Pershing can safely say that service is one of its ultimate strong points.
The Pershing Yachts events calendar includes Prime Performance, the spectacular annual happening at which the company unveils its latest new and plans, and the Pershing Sea Show, an event that tours exclusive marinas in various Mediterranean countries.
