REMI TESSIER
Remi Tessier, a self-taught photographer/professional designer has won several prestigious international awards since opening his studio in 1988. He has worked on a number of superyachts like Squall, Nahlin, Vava II, Air and Grace E. His bespoke interior design projects are simplistic and tailored to the individual client. Tessier provides an exceptional photography and design service where attention to detail is one of the main cornerstones of his philosophy. Remi trained as a cabinetmaker initially at Les Compagnons du Devoir of Tour de France which was ideal to develop his creativity and unique techniques. Having its roots from the Middle Ages, Les Compagnons du Devoir is a travelling trades guild comprising stonemasons, carpenters and many other types of artisans. When he left the Tour in 1987 a client asked him to design the interior for the superyacht, Perini Navi Squall, in 2000. He then moved to his studio in Paris and was asked to design another Perini yacht interior.
He is now one of the world’s premier yacht interior designers as well as creating spectacular interiors for residences and private jets. He also designs bespoke furniture working with the best craftsmen who are inspired by sophistication and the purity of nature. Tessier is totally unconventional in that he mixes materials that provide unusual finishes along with using light to show amazing textures and details. Remi Tessier interprets his clients’ requests perfectly, approaching each project to develop their own personality. His key when creating beautiful interiors for superyachts is in his craftsmanship, the materials he uses and his ability to mould everything together perfectly. He is in love with art which shows when his projects are completed. This is why he is in such high demand to transform both property and the interiors of yachts, making masterpieces of everything he does.
