Yacht Charter Update - July 2007

CharterWorld has had amazing continued growth in the first half of 2007 - along with the whole yachting industry.   To all our satisfied and loyal clients, thank you again from the CharterWorld Team!  We also take this opportunity to warmly welcome another experienced charter broker, Clare Williams, to the European Team.

The Mediterranean

This year has seen unprecedented demand for luxury crewed charter yachts.  It would seem that every year is going to be ‘unprecedented’ for some time to come.  Well done to those of you who have secured their yacht in the Mediterranean during high season this summer!  We look forward to providing exemplary service and support both before and throughout your charter.

Yachts have been booked out much earlier than previous years. In 2007 by March many of the most popular luxury crewed yachts are completely booked during July & August – with only a couple of notable exceptions.  Thankfully, there are also very occasional cancellations. These cancellations occur when charterers cannot make their charters on their organised dates, or decide to do something else, even though the yacht was booked many many months beforehand.  Some charterers book the best yachts far in advance feeling confident that they can release the yacht should their plans change.

Cancellations are relatively rare, but they do open up the yacht for the cancelled dates, even if only briefly.  CharterWorld is constantly monitoring cancellations through our worldwide networks and intranets so we can be the first to re-offer a popular yacht to our very loyal clients.  Please let us know if you would like to be contacted as soon as a desirable yacht becomes available for summer through a cancellation.

The Caribbean

As mentioned above, the demand for yachts has increased to the extent that the most popular yachts are being booked out increasingly further in advance.  Clients considering a winter vacation in the Caribbean must book their ideal first choice yacht now.  I know the summer season is not even yet even upon us, however the best yachts are already getting Christmas and New Years bookings for 2007/2008.

Some years there are one or two fantastic yachts on their world tour.  2007 is one of those years.  These yachts pass through exotic locations and provide guests with a very rare chance to charter somewhere off the beaten track, in complete luxury.  Ever wanted to explore the exotic waterways of the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, The South Pacific, or other adventurous locations?
