Luxury yacht Caledonia charters in and around the Inside passage of Alaska. She and offers luxury and comfort and the skills of a very capable crew, as covered below:
Luxury Yacht Caledonia Captain: Bob Stephens
Bob is an avid boating enthusiast and Coast Guard Licensed captain. He has plied the waters of Alaska, the San Juan Islands, Virgin Islands and Puget Sound for over 15 years and has skippered
catamarans, sail boats, and yachts as well as constructed a 42 foot sailboat from the hull up. To complement his nautical achievements, Bob is also an accomplished aviator. A former USAF Captain
with a Navigator rating with over 5000 hours of world wide navigation on both c124s and c141 aircraft he has travelled throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, South America, the South Pacific
Islands, and the Arctic Circle.
Co-Captain: Ray Staska
Ray has a USCG Master license. He is a retired Alaska Department of Fish and Game fishery biologist and naturalist with over twenty-six years saltwater vessel experience in Alaska. Your safety and
pleasure are assured. An avid fisherman since his boyhood years in northern Wisconsin, Ray has a keen sense of when and where the hot fishing action will occur.
At the same time, he loves just watching wildlife and enjoying nature in its ever-changing moods in the most scenic corner of the Alaskan coastline. Interpretation of the natural history of the
area and identification of species observed are topics Ray enjoys interpreting for guests.
Stewardess: Penni Manns
Penni has been involved in the hospitality industry for over a quarter century as the owner and operator of three extended-stay Bed & Breakfasts in the Seattle area. Her warm and vivacious
personality make her a pleasure to be around--so say the multitudes of guests who have stayed with her over the years.
In addition to being a sailing enthusiast with experience in Puget Sound waters, she was Art Coordinator and Director for the Boeing airplane company for over 17 years.
Her interior design ability has further manifested itself in the total restoration of three very large turn-of-the-century homes which she owns and operates. These homes have been eloquently transformed into a 42 room, extended stay B & B operation with an international clientele.
Penni has taken her innate design talent and transformed the Caledonia into a modern luxury motor yacht for your chartering pleasure in Southeast Alaska and the Northwest. All of her energy and
design thought has been pulled together to make your onboard experience highly relaxing and most memorable.
Chef: Kelley Cook
Kelley Cook and her associates bring over ten years of gourmet culinary food skills to the table---with experience and training in Classical French Cuisine and Italian specialties.
After Kelley completed school, she gained valuable experience while doing an apprenticeship at the popular Paolo's Italian restaurant. From there she took a position as Chef instructor in a
vocational school, preparing students to enter the work force in the food service industry. She is currently co-owner and chef of Sweet Memories Bakery in Ellensburg, Washington. Her background in
Classical French and Rustic Italian preparations emphasizes the use of quality, fresh ingredients.
As we generally catch a lot of local fish, salmon all varieties, halibut, assorted rock fish, like red snapper and Dungeness crab---we like to offer our guests the option of their freshly caught fish instead of frozen entrees. There is really nothing that compares to freshly caught fish--it is just different than frozen that we are all use to in the lower 48 states. Kelley is able to bring the best out of Alaska's finest fish.
