LADY LENA YACHT REVIEW

Luxury yacht LADY LENA is a stunning vessel filled with surprises, sporting the sleek modern appearance of a Sanlorenzo 52 Steel model and concealing a classic design within. Launched in January 2020 by Sanlorenzo, she measures 52.00m (170' 7”) and her amenities and wealth of water toys make her a desirable base of operations for cruising the world over, with 12 guests in six en-suite cabins and a crew of nine to keep everything running like clockwork.

The interiors

LADY LENA offers a classic environment rich in wooden panelling and powder blue furnishings, placing attention to detail right down to the inlays on the coffee tables in the main salon and the wall sconces. The sofas and armchairs create an intimate and stately environment ideal for special occasions and a welcome diversion from modern life, with curtains adding to the sense of times past while providing privacy as desired while berthed in busy marinas.

The skylounge is a glamorous place to hold a soiree, and in contrast to the main salon uses honey tones that are best on display in the back-lit onyx bar. The massive widescreen TV is perfect for daytime sports, or as a place for the family to get cosy and watch a film.

Despite the classic decor, as a modern motor yacht M/Y LENA comes equipped with state-of-the-art entertainment systems and amenities for the ultimate luxury. One of the first features that guests and visitors will come across when they step aboard is the 80m2/861ft2 beach club in the lower deck aft. This space has a float-in tender dock - a unique feature on a yacht of this size. A fold-down terrace on both sides converts this space into a more alfresco environment for sunbathing and lounging, with refreshments on-tap from the starboard side wet bar. The beach club is one of the most well-equipped areas on board, with the gymnasium immediately forward and a sauna and hammam for post-workout recovery.

The engineering is designed to run with minimal noise and vibrations, and guests will sleep soundly while the Captain cruises on to the next beautiful anchorage. At top speed, LADY LENA can reach 17 knots and has a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The exteriors

The main deck aft features a 4.5x2.3 metre (14.7x7.5 foot) glass-bottomed infinity pool that lets natural light filter through to the beach club below. Sunbeds on both sides give guests a place to dry off in the sunshine, and the shade has a casual seating area consisting of a C-shaped sofa and two plush armchairs around a coffee table.

The bridge deck aft is the main alfresco dining area on board and provides guests with a stately setting for 12 finished off with sofas along the stern. If the group fancies a change of scenery then the side walkways will take everyone around to the foredeck, for sun-drenched lounging and panoramic views.

The highlight of outdoor living has to be the 90m2/969ft2 sundeck, where an eight-person Jacuzzi boasts sweeping views forward and is ready for use day or night. Guests can savour the selection of cocktails from the wet bar while dining around the circular alfresco dining table, resting on the aft sun loungers, or settled into the forward-facing corner sofas in the shade.

The accommodation

The accommodation sleeps a total of 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 3 VIP staterooms and 2 convertible double cabins with sofa beds and a Pullman berth.

This versatile arrangement is finished to the highest standards and the main deck Master suite is a particular treat as it comes with the addition of a private office and the onyx-clad en-suite bathroom comes with a bathtub and separate shower.

One of the VIP staterooms is placed on the bridge deck to enjoy the benefit of elevated views and grater natural light.

The rest of the cabins are placed on the lower deck, with the double cabins each having a private corridor between the VIP staterooms behind. This means that when there are fewer guests on board, the double cabins can instead become private lounges or offices to the VIPs. All cabins come with TV entertainment and en-suite bathrooms with at least a sink, toilet and shower.

The water toys & exercise equipment

M/Y LADY LENA has status as an Approved RYA Water Sports Centre for guests to earn a jet ski licence during their time on board, and the long list of toys provides plenty of alternatives for adventures above and below the water:

  • 2 x Jet skis
  • 2x Seabob F5S
  • 2 x inflatable kayaks (2 pax)
  • 2 x Stand-Up Paddleboards
  • 1 x Lift eFoil
  • water skis (combo and trainer varieties), and
  • inflatable and towable toys

For getting about on land there are also four Xiaomi M365 electric scooters, and while cruising it's possible for guests to maintain a fitness regime in the beach club gym. There is an exhaustive list of equipment available, including a treadmill, exercise bike, kettlebells, dumbbells, yoga mats and much more. The massage room, sauna and hammam will take care of aching muscles before the sofas and sunbeds beckon once LADY LENA drops anchor at a new destination.

Luxury yacht LADY LENA has the perfect blend of past and present, and will be a highly desirable vessel for her Owners for many years to come.
