40M REBECA YACHT REVIEW
Luxury yacht REBECA from Italian shipyard Benetti is a marvellous OASIS 40M model that connects guests to their environment for fantastic and fulfilling holidays in nature with all of life's little luxuries supplied by Benetti and talented designers RWD and Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture.
There is room for up to 12 guests while on a cruise, and the accommodation sleeps 11 overnight in sumptuous en-suite cabins that ready everyone for the next big adventure.
The interiors
The gorgeous contemporary interiors from Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture create a light, simple and clean environment complemented by accents in earthen colours with accents in warm bronze tones. This latter effect can be seen in the lighting in the main salon, which also functions as a beach club overlooking the outside social area. Seating curves along the sides and leads guests to the formal dining area, where floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent views and the back-light wall enhances the ambiance of any special occasion.
The upper deck makes efficient use of the space while catering to guest needs and interests; the helm station has a sofa in the corner behind the helm controls so that guests can watch the action as the Captain pulls in to port, or for a quiet place to curl up with a good book.
Behind, the skylounge exudes casual sophistication to begin the day as a family at the breakfast bar, or for entertaining in the evening as fireworks light up the harbour. The large windows throughout and the glass sliding doors will ensure that you never miss a moment of the spectacle.
The exteriors
The main deck aft and lower deck swim platform are joined together by a few steps, creating commanding views from the sofa near the doors into the main salon, while below the sunbed and infinity pool ideal for a dip day or night for gests of all ages.
From the skylounge guests have the intimate environment of the upper deck aft all to themselves, where the curving sofas and armchairs form a casual environment for conversation over drinks and a light meal in the shade. The foredeck has a C-shaped sofa, drinks tables and a sunbed that makes an additional alfresco living area for friends and couples to make use of for time away from the main group.
The sundeck takes guests far from the water but there is plenty of entertainment up here to fill the afternoon or evening hours: Rest on the sun loungers and savour the views and the cocktails from the wet bar, dine alfresco as a group of 12, rest on the forward sunpads or dip into the Jacuzzi for cosy conversation under the stars.
The water toys & fitness centre
The current collection has yet to be announced for the 2020/21 season, however luxury yacht REBECA has plenty of room for water toys on board in the tender garage aft of amidships, which provides easy launch and retrieval through the side hatch.
The main deck starboard side has a spacious wellness and yoga centre for guests to enjoy panoramic views while beginning or ending the day with a workout, all from within an air-conditioned environment.
The accommodation
The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 11 guests over 5 en-suite cabins, consisting of a Main deck master suite, 3 double cabins on the lower deck and a twin cabin on the lower deck that is convertible to a double and also has a Pullman berth suitable for a child.
The occupants of the Master suite are treated to a full-beam bedroom with TV entertainment, a private lounge and a fold-down terrace. The en-suite bathroom is finished to an impeccable standard and has a bathtub as well as the usual fixtures so that guests can soak and relax after a day in the sunshine.
The guests on the lower deck haven't been neglected either: All cabins are wonderfully spacious and have large wardrobes, TV entertainment and a pristine en-suite bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower.
The crew of 9 are also well provided for in the bow, with a large mess in addition to en-suite bunk cabins.
