The climate of Sicily is similar to that of Corsica and the 9°C/48°F in winter and 22°C/72°F during the summer. On average, settlements in the South of France receive 60 days' worth of rain between 20-40 inches per annum with the majority of rainfall taking place from October-December, which makes the region ideal as a summer holiday destination.
In the winter months, snow falls on the higher mountains and Mount Etna is snow-capped from October through to May. Summer is generally hot and dry, with rainfall averaging around 10mm in June and July.
Clothing to Pack for Your Charter:
Temperatures in the summer reach the mid-twenties and loose, light clothing is preferable. Trousers are recommended for breezy autumn evenings and the cooler temperatures in the winter, with waterproof clothing for rainy and snowy conditions. For religious sites, shoulders and knees should be covered.
