The Beautiful Turquoise Coast of Turkey

Curving around the South West corner of Turkey from the Aegean to the Western Mediterranean, the Turquoise Coast or Riviera is a very popular destination. With its fantastic weather, stunning coastline and many facilities, yacht owners, charterers and sailors flock here every year.

Temperatures during July and August range from 40 degrees C which is extremely hot. The charter season usually lasts from April to June and from September to October. Weather conditions at these times of year are warm and the beaches are a little bit quieter.

There’s a good choice of marinas too along the coastline. You’ll also find beautiful coves, secluded bays, historical towns and plenty to do.

Swim, dive or snorkel in the turquoise waters where temperatures rise to 20 degrees C, peak at 26 degrees C and drop to around 16 degrees C in February/March. Take in the spectacular mountains inland which rise into the sky and are sometimes capped in snow.

The amazing coastline of Turkey has many Lycian, Ottoman, Roman and Medieval ruins, tombs and castles to visit. Some tombs which are located in the middle of the streets date back thousands of years. Surprisingly, the locals seem to ignore them.

Turkey entices visitors from all over the world with low prices for drink and food. It’s a tourist destination especially for those arriving by superyacht. Enjoy the many lively bars, gourmet restaurants that sell fresh seafood, Italian as well as Turkish food.

Charter flights are used by many holidaymakers from all over Europe although they do tend to stay in larger resorts or towns. Superyacht charterers can find quiet coves and beaches away from it all to experience a more tranquil vacation.
