Amico & Co has been investing in facilities and personnel for 20 years now, including the recent unveiling of the all-new 102-metre dry dock. Today, the company is considered one of the three main players of the world in the superyacht refit & repair field.
In fact, Amico & Co has just accomplished a series of investments in record time: in the last 18 months 7mil Euro have been invested in facilities, 6 of those dedicated to the project dry-dock and the remaining one to develop the electrical dock system of the shipyard from 1,9MW to 5,3MW.
The new 102mt dry dock has been designed and built in 16 months, it is equipped with a retractable shed, heating, ventilation and emission treatment systems for painting work.
Amico & Co is always increasing even in terms of numbers: in the last 3 years the group hired 20 new employers (between Amico & Co and Amico Loano), 5 are the companies in partnership with the group for a total of 140 operators, 35 specialized contractors and 650 suppliers.
The shipyard is taking the opportunity to be specialized in the world maintenance, refit & repair market for yachts from 60 up to 140mt LOA, becoming one of the most important players, thanks to the investments in facilities, human resources, quality standards and in the relationship with customers. Reliability is the first quality recognised by the company’s customers and this is the first marketing tool of Amico & Co.
From September till today the shipyard has performed or is performing work on 17 projects on yachts over 50mt LOA, 9 of them have already used the company’s dry-dock facilities, including the dry-dock n° 2 in Ente Bacini, directly managed by Amico & Co.
