Another incredible superyacht concept designed by Laurent Giles has been presented to the yachting industry. This time this is a highly innovative 110-metre mega yacht HEMY, which stands for High-Efficiency Motor Yacht.
HEMY will have a total interior volume of under 3,000 GT and will be built under the L3 classification. This will provide no restrictions on outfitting materials and will eliminate the need of having lifeboats. At 110 metres HEMY has a beam of 12.5 metres and a draft of 3.8 metres.
Lega yacht HEMY can reach a top speed of 20 knots, thanks to her modern hull design. Comfortable cruising will be offered at a speed of 17.5 knots with a range of 6,500 nm.
The managing director of Laurent Giles, David Lewis, comments: “The concept was to start with a typical 70-75 metre yacht and lengthen the hull to offer increased interior volume, while remaining within a 3,000GT limit. Not only does HEMY offer increased accommodation volume, but with its more efficient length/beam ratio and lighter displacement/length it offers significant improvements in performance and seakeeping.”
There will be a dedicated owner deck with lavish facilities and comfortable accommodation. Four guest cabins are located on the main deck, which allows accommodating 14 guests in total. A professional crew of 32 members will also have plenty of room in the crew quarters.
The main deck hosts a large open plan salon with formal dining and seating for 14 guests. HEMY boasts two beach clubs: one at the stern and the other amidships.
HEMY is equipped with a helicopter pad and has a large number of great amenities. There is a large cinema theatre, tender garage and an infinity pool locate on the transom.
