Measuring 130 metres, the latest creation from the drawing board of Andy Waugh, EPIPHANY boasts a striking silhouette and was inspired by a simplification of the ‘yacht form’ while emphasised by bold graphics. She is characterised by simple sophistication, making her a timeless superyacht concept with classic design features.
“Classic designs are usually described as elegant in their simplicity but in order to achieve this result, there is always a sophisticated resolution of numerous, conflicting technical and ergonomic factors. The Epiphany concept uses the minimum of styling lines and structures creating a dramatic, elegant effect belying its practicality and large volumes of accommodation,” says her designer, Andy Waugh.
The bridge of EPIPHANY is located on the upper deck, which is unusual for superyachts, offering unparalleled views and a fold-down wing-bridge which is used to retain the pure aesthetic of the rising bulwark. The owner’s library is situated aft of the bridge and main central lobby. There is also a balcony overlooking a double height lounge on the owner’s deck below.
The owner’s accommodation and amenities are located on a separate deck, spreading much further forward than on more traditional yachts. The master suite forward has an increased ceiling height with skylights and open views towards a private foredeck with seating areas and a Jacuzzi. Located aft is the owner’s private cinema and a beautiful owner’s study with an adjacent area for personal assistants or additional staff members.
The spacious VIP deck is located below the Owner’s deck and offers four massive VIP suites with private balconies. Additional features found on this deck include a cinema and gaming space in a full-beam VIP lounge. There is also a comprehensive gymnasium and a spa for guests to enjoy. The main bar opens up onto the aft deck which offers a formal al fresco dining opportunity.
Even though EPIPHANY features a somewhat radical appearance, her main deck is relatively conventional in layout with socialising areas situated aft and guest cabins located forward. There are low bulwarks along the whole deck with full height glass and are used to provide an enhanced sense of openness and space.
One of the main features that guests usually fully appreciate is a large swimming pool with a sunbathing area situated on the aft deck. This area can be converted into a helipad when needed. There are two additional VIP cabins on this deck along with a further eight guest cabins.
The popular beach club and tender stowage are situated on the lower deck together with yet another cinema, dive centre and crew accommodation towards the bow. The crew areas include a dedicated officer’s mess and security office along with cabins for around forty crew and staff. EPIPHANY is unique for both, her distinctive aesthetic and her layout which limits crew areas to the very upper and lower decks, allowing for complete privacy for guests and the owners.
