The 134m breathtaking motor yacht Serene, constructed by the well known Italian builder Fincantieri, has received the best new yacht in 2011 award in the category “displacement motor yacht 3000gt and above” at the 7th annual World Superyacht Awards, taking place in the fabulous surroundings of Çırağan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, Turkey on May 5, 2012.
Organised and promoted by “Boat International Media”, the prestige event was attended by all the main operators in the sector, from the top builders to high profile luxury yacht owners.
Delivered last year by Muggiano (La Spezia) shipyard the luxury yacht Serene, at 134 metres long, is one of the ten largest yachts ever built in the world and one of the finest in terms of sophistication and technology.
Designed in accordance with the maximum class of international safety regulations for passenger transport the Fincantieri megayacht Serene has seven decks, a hangar and two helicopter landing pads. The vessel also features a large sea-water pool which can accommodate service craft and a submarine with a diving depth of up to 100 metres. There are 4,500 square metres of interior space including 2,700 square metres of super-luxury designed by Pascale Reymond from Reymond Langton Design, one of the industry’s most famous designers.
The 134m superyacht Serene marks Fincantieri’s entrance into an exclusive market sector, where the company can draw on its wealth of expertise in the construction of sophisticated, highly innovative vessels combining cutting edge design and state of the art technology.
Fincantieri is devoting increasingly substantial resources to this market in order to offer customers ever higher levels of quality, design and style.
The company is currently building, again at Muggiano yard, the 140m megayacht Victory, on which work began at the end of 2010.
