Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has named and delivered the 13th hull in the SL78 series – motor yacht BARRACUDA. The 24.6m/81ft luxury yacht was sold to a Northern European Owner who intends to use her exclusively in the Mediterranean for the first couple of years.
Built to RINA standards, the exterior and interiors styling comes courtesy of Officina Italiana Design, and Sanlorenzo was responsible for her naval architecture. Key features include light-infused interiors as a result of lower bulwarks and floor-to-ceiling windows, and the tender garage uses an hydraulic launching system for efficient launch and retrieval of the 4m/13ft tender.
M/Y BARRACUDA accommodates up to 10 guests over four cabins, which consist of a full-beam Master suite, a VIP stateroom and two twin cabins. There is a crew of three for the perfect balance between service and privacy.
A pair of MTU 10V2000 M96L diesel engines producing 1,622 HP allows for a top speed of 29 knots – perfect for island hopping in the Balearic Islands or from Corsica to Sardinia during the regatta season.
Luxury yacht BARRACUDA will be berthed in Mallorca alongside the 14th SL78 hull, M/Y BALANCE, which was launched last month.
