The innovative 42.5m luxury trimaran ADASTRA built by McConaghy to Naval Architecture, exterior styling by John Shuttleworth Yacht Designs, has left the yard for her sea trials. Motor Yacht Adastra is a spectacular vessel built for a Hong Kong Client for long range ocean voyaging. She is a result of more than 5 years of design and discussion with the owners. Her structural design has been created by John Shuttleworth yacht Designs and Applied Structural Analysis Ltd and her interior has been created by Jepsen Designs.
The yacht has been designed to provide high level of comfort as well as style, to suit every ocean going couple and their family. Adastra yacht has been created to have low fuel consumption, yet provide excellent seakeeping qualities and luxurious accommodation. Superyacht Adastra has a beam of 16 metres and is powered by one Caterpillar C18 engine of 1150 ho at 2300 rpm and has 2 Yanmar 110ho @ 3200 rpm outrigger engines.
Accommodation aboard the 42.5m McConaghy luxury trimaran Adastra is provided to 9 guests looked after by a crew of 5-6 professionals. She has a 4.9 metre tender stored on the aft deck and a 3.1 m stored in the garage. Maximum speed reached by the yacht is 22.5 knots and her range is 4000 nautical miles at 17 knots.
