One of the latest projects of the well known Italian design studio Pastrovich is the 150m motor yacht Sveti. Providing the ultimate luxury beach onboard experience, the Sveti superyacht is an amazing mixture of the nicest features of the world’s most prestigious resorts.
GUEST ‘VILLAS’
The suites remind villas perched over the turquoise seas in the most luxurious environments round the World. Open plan living to give the feeling of space with large floor to ceiling windows and doors opening up to extend the space outside. Lounge, dine or bathe in complete privacy while enjoying the best views the World has to offer.
UNDERWATER SPA
A spa submerged below the sea with windows viewing the life under the surface. The guests can relax with world class treatments or exercise using the latest in professional equipment. They can meditate or just sleep in the relaxing pods with soft curtains while fish surrounding them, a real place to escape! Hammams and saunas make up just a few pieces of a large spa center.
THE CAVES – WINE CELLAR & CIGAR LOUNGE
Down in the Abyss guests can enjoy an evening sampling the finest wines while dining in style in the cave restaurant. Surrounded by the finest wines the world has to offer the guests could be anywhere in the world. After dinner can be enjoyed in the cozy environment of the whiskey and cigar lounge. A game of chess, a smooth cigar and one of Scotlands finest single malts could be a perfect way to end a night of fine cuisine.
THE INGREDIENTS
Many different elements are used to create the Pastrovich Sveti megayacht. A mixture of innovative structures, efficient hull design, energy saving technologies, natural ecosystems, luxury amenities and endless activities all work harmoniously to create the overall concept. In a complex project such as this Pastrovich believes that each ingredient is as important as the next one. The strength of Sveti is in the synergy of the ingredients.
ENERGY AWARE
The combination of different energy efficient systems is key to good average savings. An Efficient Hull Form is crucial to reduce the drag. A Dual Fuel diesel electric system is used on board the 150m luxury yacht sveti in combination with LNG “Liquified Natural Gas” which reduces the vessel’s emissions significantly. Solar Panels utilise the vessel’s large upper surfaces generating extra clean energy. Incorporated into a double skin structure is a Natural Ventilation system reducing the need for air conditioning. Natural Light is used to illuminate the interior as much as possible by using solar tubes, thus reducing the need for artificial light. These systems help to reduce the Hotel load and contribute to the overall Energy Saving of the vessel.
STRUCTURE & HULL LINES
The structure of the superyacht Sveti is not there for the sole reason of supporting the load. It interacts with all the other elements onboard from energy saving to aesthetic. The continuous “egglike” structure increases the strength while decreasing the amount of material used, thus
reducing the weight. The upper and lower sections are connected by a pivot system which allows expansion and contraction under different temperatures and sea conditions. This reduces the effect on the vessel’s interior and the passengers on board. The inclined structure not only strengthens this 150m by 50m vessel but gives a unique aesthetic to which the exterior follows.
CLIMATE CONTROL
Protecting the natural environment on board the luxury motor yacht Sveti allows her to travel all around the world while keeping a controlled environment onboard. To do this Pastrovich looked at two different concepts which could close the aft roof (square meters!!) but keeping a light structure. One being an architectural, practical solution using a Bris Soleil while another more visionary concept based on the folding fin of a fish. The Bris Soleil concept can be open and inclined allowing more or less sun and shadows through. This creates a natural indoor biosphere that can be controlled manually. The BMW concept car GINA is completely covered with fabric tensioned over a light frame. Pastrovich believes this is another visionary way to cover and open a large area keeping the structural weight to a minimum. The elastic properties of this fabric is an ideal solution to open and close the side windows.
