Organizers of China’s leading yacht and business jet show, the Hainan Rendez-Vous, share some new developments and have announced the dates of the next edition to be April 5th-8th 2012.
Following the success of the two previous editions of the Hainan Rendez-Vous and only two years after the Beijing government announced its intention to transform Hainan into a global luxury destination, the Hainan Rendez-Vous (HRV), China’s leading superyacht and business jet show, is propelling Hainan to the very center of the international lifestyle scene.
Organizers are confident that the show is becoming a landmark event for China’s affluent and influential decision makers, providing them with a platform for top level communication and collaboration. Over 15,000 visitors attended the event last year, which was heavily covered in both domestic and international media.
The show’s fantastic turnout is due in part to the fact that Hainan is becoming a key yachting hub for China. Foreign registered yachts are now able to stay in Hainan for 183 days, and can go through entry and exit procedures at more ports on the island. Marinas are mushrooming up along the coast, many with state of the art facilities, and staging global events such as the Volvo Ocean race.
Hainan’s marine infrastructure is also attracting the attention fo the world’s superyacht manufacturers. “Hainan Rendez-Vous, an event projected in the future, managed with competence and passion. I enjoyed every minute there, seeing the foundation of yachting in China. Thanks and congratulations to the organisers.” says Paolo Vitelli, Founder and CEO of Azimut Benetti Group.
“With Hainan’s growing investment in boating infrastructure, the region’s significance within the industry will only increase,” says HRV founder and CEO Delphine Lignieres. “As a platform for bringing together companies and clients interested in the superyacht and megayacht categories, the HRV has no parallel in this part of the world.”
Beyond yachting, HRV is also the largest business jet event in Asia, and with China fast becoming the most dynamic jet market worldwide, organizers are expecting even more jets next year.
HRV is a very unique concept that goes way beyond the traditional trade fair organized in China. The event is above all a networking platform where high net worth individuals can not only discover the most advanced yachts, jets and supercars, but can also enjoy a true Riviera moment with a wide range of parties, events and exclusive gala dinners thrown by the event sponsors and participants.
The organizers have been overwhelmed by the level of interest they have received from all over the world, and HRV will play an increasingly important role in bringing together decision makers from west and east to exchange ideas on topics such as the future of mobility, innovation and design.
Organizers also intend to elevate the Art in Hainan component of HRV to a whole new level at next year’s edition. With its tranquil, transparent waters and azure skies, Hainan is a great source of inspiration for artists from China and abroad.
As the single event that unites the world’s top yacht brands, business jet brands and ultra-lifestyle brands with their potential buyers throughout the whole of China, HRV 2012 is where professionals in the upscale lifestyle world have to be next April 5-8.
So step aside Ibiza, move over Antigua and watch out Phuket – the Hainan Rendez-Vous is heading for center stage.
