Yacht X Tender, a division of Lynx Yachts, is proud to announce that the building of the first 20-metre superyacht support vessel YXT is progressing well and according to the schedule. The yacht is under construction in Holland just as all YXT vessels and is in the painting stage at the moment. She has already completed all the system and power plant installations.
As opposed to the 24m YXT boasting a grey livery and delivered in 2014, the new 20-metre will have a white livery, providing her with ah fresher and more marine-like appearance. This colour choice also emphasises the gamma’s production philosophy: created for carrying extra toys and gadgets, the yacht’s use is closer to the fun and leisure aspects of seagoing.
The new yacht will also feature a stern mounted gangway crane, allowing the transom mounted beach area to the utilised to host tenders and jet skis. The stairs and the initial four metres of the deck are completed in teak, emphasising the yachting style of the YXT 20.
The launch is scheduled for the middle of June, followed by routine sea trials. Once delivered, the yacht will cruise the Mediterranean, mainly the South of France. her public premiere will take place at this year’s Monaco yacht Show, which will be held from 28th September to 1st October.
YXT 20 boasts a large 45-square metre deck and will feature additional toys, as requested by the owner of her mothership. She has a more traditional bow and the stern beach club is fixed. She will boast inviting interiors designed by Franck Darnet Design.
Representing the most compact vessel of the YXT shadow boat fleet, the boat has crew quarters for four members with two twin cabins with baths, galley, storage and laundry rooms, as well as one large storage box with hatches that give onto the main deck that can also be used for refrigerators, wine cellars, or when necessary, as extra berths.
The primary characteristic of every support vessel: the YXT 20 features two davits – the primary situated on the main deck, the secondary, which also serves as the gangway, at the stern. The davits have a lifting capacity of 1.7 tons with a 5-meter reach and 360° slewing.
The guest interiors of the vessel feature bulkheads and overheads in natural wood veneer marine grade plywood, parquet flooring in guest areas and lounge. Furnishings are in natural wood veneer marine grade plywood.
