Turkish shipyard and yacht designer Soyaslan has revealed its latest in-build project, the 24m/78.8ft pocket luxury expedition yacht ICE.
Designed for a repeat client, explorer yacht ICE has a sleek modern exterior that is designed for world exploration: The over-specced technical platform is built for safety and comfort, from calm and shallow cruising grounds to deep and turbulent seas. The hull has been built to ICE-class standards for adventures in the polar regions, and both the exteriors and interiors offer guests marvellous views of their surroundings.
The outdoor areas include a spacious swim platform to get close to the marine life, three different alfresco dining/lounging areas (on the main deck aft, foredeck and sundeck respectively), and two sunbathing options. A wet bar is also available on the upper deck aft, where the space is used to store the tender while cruising.
Inside, the interiors are styled by BAZ Design and use a combination of light oak and darker Alpi in warm neutral tones, contrasted by furnishings in grey-blue. The main salon and formal dining area make one large social area, while the sky lounge attached to the wheelhouse above has a more cosy atmosphere while enjoying elevated views from the climate-controlled interior.
The accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests over 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 3 double cabins and 1 bunk cabin. In a traditional arrangement, the Master suite is placed forward on the main deck, while the remaining guest cabins are on the lower deck. All have portholes which can be opened for natural ventilation – a small but significant detail for long cruises.
Explorer yacht ICE is in build with construction to be completed in 14 months, ready to be delivered at the end of 2023/the start of 2024.
