Ideal for boating and yachting enthusiasts who like the aqua-blue waters as well as laid-back lifestyle, the Second Annual Owner Rendezvous organised by the respected Taiwan-based luxury yacht builder Horizon Yachts took place in the southern-most point of the United States, Key West in Florida, running from May 4th to 6th, 2012.
Horizon kicked off the Second Annual Owner Rendezvous at A&B Marina with an “Open Yacht” on the newly-arrived Horizon EP69 yacht, where Horizon caught up with owners and guests, introduced new rendezvous attendees. Owners were also presented with a Horizon cooler filled with goodies for the weekend, including tumblers, hats, golf balls, Horizon Rendezvous t-shirts and much more. Later, everyone moved upstairs to the A&B Lobster house, where they enjoyed a three-course dinner and lively conversation.
Saturday afternoon of yacht hopping with three “Open Yachts” – the Horizon 84ft motor yacht Sweet Sarah, 78ft superyacht Do It Now as well as the V74 yacht Satori. Each participating owner graciously welcomed everyone on board their yacht with specially-made cocktails, and swapped cruising stories and experiences. Soon it was time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Key West edition – Horizon Rendezvous group embarked on a colorfully-decorated sailing catamaran in search of a beautiful sunset, enjoying themed cuisine and drinks, and of course a few sombreros, along the way. Calm seas and a warm breeze offered the perfect backdrop for the sunset cruise, and soon guests were watching the rise of the supermoon, which offered a spectacular view as it appeared in the sky.
A Sunday brunch spread at the White Tarpon brought the rendezvous full circle. Many were not quite ready to say goodbye. Owners and guests asked the all- important question: “Where are we going next year?”
