Saturday, May 14 saw the 30-metre luxury motor yacht BIJOUX hit the water at the Moonen shipyard. Boasting naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, DIANA 473 is the first vessel in the Moonen Caribbean series, built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
Her spacious interior includes four suites with en-suite bathrooms, making her ideal for family cruising or holidays with friends. The interiors were designed by Adam Lay Studio.
BIJOUX’s striking exterior with clean and bold lines was designed by René van der Velden. Her sporty looks are emphasised by a grey and white colour palette. Diana Yacht Design is in charge of the naval architecture, detail engineering, construction, system engineering and 3D piping.
One of the main challenges when creating this vessel was designing the large swimming platform in the stern. The swim platform, which is as large as platforms seen on much bigger yachts, is invisible from the outside when retracted. A 5-metre tender can be housed in the tender store located in the stern.
BIJOUX will now be outfitted and undergo extensive sea trials. She is scheduled for delivery at the end of June.
