The 30-metre motor yacht ZABAVA has arrived at the ICON Yachts shipyard ready for a complete refit and pain job. The Heesen-built vessel is getting a makeover just before the Mediterranean season.
She arrived at the busy Icon shipyard on the 6th of November and is scheduled to be refitted over the next few months with a delivery programmed for spring 2019. She was originally launched in 2000 as BUKA, following which she was renamed to POKROV II. She was purchased by her new owner in May 2018.
Jen Wartena, CEO of ICON Yachts, comments: “At ICON Yachts we welcome refits of all yachts. This is the second refit we will complete on board a Heesen vessel and, with the completion of our new floating dock on the horizon, we look forward to welcoming many more in the future! We have a number of exciting projects in the yard right now and are ready for a strong 2019.”
Before arriving in Harlingen, ZABAVA was transported from Imperia in Italy by Starclass Yacht Transport to Rotterdam.
ICON Yachts will also inaugurate a new floating dock in December 2019. Other refit projects currently at the yard include the 59.5-metre RAMBLE ON ROSE as well as a 60-metre Benetti superyacht. The 68-metre conversion project PROJECT RAGNAR is scheduled for delivery in 2019, while construction of the highly-anticipated 84-metre superyacht ICON 280 is well underway.
