During the biggest yachting event of the year, the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show, Finnish shipyard Nautor’s Swan announced the construction of the first hull in the SWAN 98 series. The new 30-metre sailing yacht Swan 98 Hull #1 is scheduled for delivery in June 2020.
The shipyard has worked in collaboration with German Frers, who previously designed a large number of sailing yachts. As it’s been announced, the SWAN 98 Hull #1 will feature a few customisation options, which means the second hull in the series will not be the same.
Thanks to the telescopic keel, the yacht’s draft will be only 3.2 metres which will allow her to cruise int he shallow waters. SWAN 98 Hull #1 will have a low profile coach roof and a flared stern aft with a sheer line sweeping to a clean foredeck. The engine room is full beam and located below the salon. The second companionway aft will provide easy deck access for the owner or crew depending on the accommodation layout.
Italian designed Misa Poggi has created three possible interior stylings, including classic white with soft beige tones, classic navy and “Wine Cowes”. The final interior decor is yet to be confirmed, however, it will feature opulent fabrics and Italian leather. Another interior theme has been penned by Nautor Swan’s in-house team, with an emphasis on traditional Nordic styling.
At the moment there are two interior layouts are available. The first one with master suite with private lounge and bathroom at the bow, and the second with a full-beam master cabin with a large wardrobe and ensuite facilities.
Accommodation onboard SWAN 98 Hull#1 will be offered for up to eight guests in four cabins. There will be one double and two twin cabins for the guests, while the crew quarters will sleep four people in two twin cabins.
