Sailing yacht LIARA has hit the water at Baltic Yachts in Finland. This 34.14m/112ft all-carbon sloop with a beam of 7.9m/25.11ft belongs to the Baltic 112 series with naval architecture by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design. Designed for an experienced owner, LIARA is a fast cruising yacht equipped for regattas and the most important yacht racing events. Her interior with accommodation for eight guests was developed by Adam Lay Studio.
First seen on the award-winning S/Y MY SONG, Baltic Yachts implemented the unconventional retractable propulsion system in LIARA’s design. The eco-friendly cruising and noise-reduced cruising experience have been achieved by running a variable speed generator along with a high-voltage DC battery bank and a generator connected to the main engine.
The interior features contemporary oak elements and beautifully designed guest cabins. There is plenty of room for dining indoors and on deck, as well as socialising with family and friends.
LIARA is scheduled for delivery in summer 2019 and will be making her way to the Caribbean for the 2019/2020 regattas that her owner is planning to take part in. She will also be cruising in the waters of New Zealand during the 2020/2021 America’s Cup.
