Moonen has announced the launch of a 36m/118ft Moonen Martinique superyacht, which has been christened BRIGADOON and represents the first luxury yacht built with a high-tensile steel hull.
Emerging from the Dutch shipyard, onlookers were able to see the four-deck superyacht’s modern René van der Velden-styled profile out of the scaffolding for the first time.
The second vessel in the Moonen Caribbean line, M/Y BRIGADOON features the classic solid build of Moonen yachts and makes use of a full-beam on the main deck to create a massive Master suite complete with 180° windows with views out over the bow. The galley has also been well-considered and designed by chefs to provide an optimal environment.
Designed for water sports and a strong connection to the surroundings, her exterior profile has low bulwarks for unobstructed views while descending to the swimming platform.
An ‘open-air’ bridge lounge blends indoor-outdoor living as a winter garden, where the sliding windows can be fully closed for a climate-controlled interior or opened up to the outdoor ambience of the location.
Luxury yacht BRIGADOON will now undergo sea trials before being delivered to her owner in time for a public debut at the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows in September.
